Dowling and Stars Unveil Unified Mobile Strategy for Businesses

Lansing, Michigan (PRWEB) January 19, 2012

Dave Dowling and Jonathan Stars, innovators in the field of software design, introduce their “Unified Mobile Strategy” to the business world. A recent trend has emerged showing that employees are using work time to access entertainment and social networking on mobile devices – devices which are not monitored via the company network. Companies are hemorrhaging payroll time to mobile entertainment. Dowling/Stars can help organizations create or improve existing mobile strategies. By going on the offensive to mobile users where they are, companies implementing this strategy can watch company profits and productivity soar.

The Dowling/Stars Unified Mobile Strategy was conceived after evaluation of the following facts:

1. Apple, Inc. announced in November that mobile downloads via their iTunes App Store increased 83% year over year, to 5.65 million downloads per day.

2. According to CTIA, mobile devices in use in the USA exceed its population. To reiterate, there are, almost unbelievably, more active mobile devices in America than people!

3. Google, Inc. shared their prediction, based on their massive statistics engine, that mobile Internet usage will overtake that of desktop computers by 2014.

4. Google’s mobile Android platform is climbing toward a staggering 1 million activations per day.

5. ABC News reports that Americans work more than anyone else in the industrialized world.

A business has a finite number of hours in the day during which employees can work, and during which customers can interact with them. Dowling believes that American businesses have lost a tremendous amount of potential mobile computing “market share” to social usage because of the general tendency of business to come late to the technology game. The time for businesses to act is now. If mobile devices become synonymous with entertainment to employees and customers, businesses will lose massive potential productivity and business transaction time to pure entertainment and socialization usage.

Dowling: “Think of this in terms of the following example: if there are 16 waking hours for the average person, every human activity competes for a share of that time. Mobile computing makes socialization and entertainment accessible 24/7, and it’s generally undetectable at work. Desktop network activity can be controlled and tracked, but a business has little control over the wild usage of personal mobile devices.”

The ramifications are self-evident. Business is not getting done while Facebook and YouTube are being accessed on the company’s time. Must this time be hopelessly lost to the company, written off like shrinkage or paid vacation time? It’s a major problem, that will not be rectified by time — quite the opposite, in fact. Enter solution-makers Dowling and Stars, and their Unified Mobile Strategy. “Socialization and entertainment” says Dowling, “are encroaching on business. They are winning the mobile war; business is losing it. Some businesses will spend untold millions trying to curb this trend in the workplace — these attempts will largely fail. Our plan: let business reclaim time in the form of hours and locations which are conducive to mobile usage. Employees and customers can contribute to company success while getting their ‘mobile fix’ at the same time! This is what our Unified Mobile Strategy is all about. Let them connect with you in the checkout line, watching TV, in the cab or sitting at the airport. Americans love to do business. Let them do so whenever they will, and wherever they may find themselves.”

The Dowling/Stars Unified Mobile Strategy has three key elements:

1. Ensure that employees and customers can work and engage in business at any time, and from anywhere, on their mobile devices.

2. Make it as easy as possible for mobile users to interact with the business in every practical way.

3. Make solutions mobile native, or at least very mobile friendly.

The more difficult it is to use a mobile app or service, the less time can be reclaimed for business purposes. Dave Dowling and Jonathan Stars are independent software developers, both represented by the Charles E. Bicy Agency. New Jewelry Web Site Offers Looks of the Stars

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) April 12, 2006

Fashion-conscious jewelry lovers can now have the same look as their favorite stars without the eye-popping price tag. Gemstyle.com is a new web site that features the latest in pendants, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings. With many styles inspired by jewelry designed exclusively for the rich and famous, the web site caters to fashion-conscious women who crave the latest fashions.

Gemstyle.com offers trendy fashion jewelry created by the same designers who make one-of-a-kind jewelry for Hollywood’s elite. The pieces are created from sterling silver, rather than expensive metals like platinum and gold, making them more affordable.

“It’s important for a woman today to reinvent that great outfit she hasn’t worn in a while with the perfect jewelry for a brand-new, hot look,” said Scott Miller, president of Gemstyle.com. “Now fashionistas can have virtually the same trendy jewelry as a Hollywood celebrity, only costing substantially less.”

Although many of Gemstyle.com’s jewelry pieces include genuine gemstones, others are set with fine sparkling crystals. In addition to crystal jewelry, shoppers will find accessories like pearl necklaces, turquoise rings and much more.

Jewelry designs at Gemstyle.com range from hot ethnic styles, including Bombay-inspired beaded jewelry, to funky, chunky designs featuring genuine amethyst, rose quartz and more. Updated chandelier earrings featuring Swarovski crystals, white jade and more are the perfect complement to spring and summer fashions.
